We manufacture with our factory based in Asia. It is a great collaboration. Our factory is run by a group of sophisticated producers and engineers who work with the biggest brands in the inflatable wind sport market.
Together we are pioneering and creating an entirely new category of inflatable vehicle shelter systems. We use the best factories and materials available globally.
Testing and materials used in the AirHaven involves constant R&D. We are aligned with our factory about the importance of testing; material use and production technique.
The combination of today's new space age materials available in the market plus our sophisticated production and assembly, we are producing an extremely strong and lightweight vehicle awning system.
New materials are becoming available that are unbelievably light and strong. Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber—widely marketed as the world's strongest fiber. Brand names include dyneema.com.
We are using a new Challenge material that has properties we want. We have been testing stitch strength for seams in our air bladders. Bladders are inflated to 8 psi in use, but we are testing to double the psi for durability. (that's me in the picture;)
High-performance synthetic material made from extremely long chains of polyethylene molecules that are gel-spun and stretched to align them at the molecular level. These materials can withstand high pressure, withstand abrasion and even puncture. This is 25kG supported entirely by our air strut.
The result is a fiber that’s incredibly strong yet lightweight (water floats off the material's hydrophobic properties because its density is less than 1 g/cm³).
A combination of new school textile materials, stitching design, bladders, and air valves is making for an outstanding new category of products for vehicle-based shelter.
Out for now. Thank you!

"I got this awning a week ago and everything about it is well thought
out! It’s takes me 2 minutes to unpack and set up, and once it’s up
it’s isn’t going anywhere. Snow, rain, wind – it can handle anything.
Can’t wait to take this on many more van-ventures!" --Eric
