Mount it your way
The tent is already up there. Set the flat hooks into its channel or L-track, or clip the Universal Mounts to L-track eyes, and the awning shades the ladder, the door or the tailgate under the tent.
Hardware you use
Toyota TacomaHow it attaches
Four steps, no tools. Every AirHaven ships with the hardware below.
Close both strut clamp valves (slide the neoprene gloves off to reach them), or skip them: you can set up without the clamp valves. Pump to 8 PSI with a high-volume pump and a gauge. Max pressure is 8 PSI. Never go over it. If a Gen 4 HR valve sticks or leaks, open and close it a few times to get it working as designed.
The flat hook attachments ship already connected to the awning's daisy chain, and you can move them to other spots on it for versatility. Set the flat hooks into the roof-top tent's channel or L-track. They grab and hold better than cord mounts. You can also clip the Universal Mounts to L-track eyes, or wrap them around the tent's base rail or the rack bars it sits on.
Seat the flat hooks at the seam where the body meets the chassis and cinch the straps tight. The struts ride on these straps.
If you closed the strut valves, open them and the canopy lifts into place, braced against the side of the vehicle on soft pads. Adjust strap tension to tune the pitch.
In the box
Top · racks and bars
Webbing straps that clip to or wrap around rack bars and crossbars, and clip to FlexMount D-rings. They ship attached to the awning.
Top · edges and channels
Rubber-coated flat hooks for slider-door tracks, ledges, gutters, lips, slots, channels and eyelets. They ship clipped to the awning's daisy chain, and you can move them to other spots on it for versatility.
Bottom · every setup
Flat hooks seat at the seam where the body meets the chassis. The struts slide on the tensioned straps and rest on soft pads against the vehicle.
Tip: Both top mounts ship attached to the awning. Remove the ones you're not using and stow them in the awning bag's pocket.
Once you know your anchor points, skip the inflate-first routine. Hang the awning flat, then fill it right where it hangs with an electric pump.
Max 8 PSI. Never inflate past 8 PSI. Use a pump with a gauge, and set the shut-off to 8 if your pump has one.
Pumps that work →In the field
FlexMount anchors bond to the vehicle with 3M VHB and give the awning a D-ring to clip to. Semi-permanent, no drilling.
